Simon Bothilo – Principal Drill and Blast Consultant
Simon is a chartered engineer with 25 years of specialist knowledge in explosives and drill & blast. Having worked throughout Europe, Asia and Australia within high level technical teams as well as running major contract drill & blast operations Simon is able to bring effective operational change whilst applying technical knowhow. Simon has an in-depth knowledge of both underground and open pit mining across a number of commodities including gold, copper, silver, iron ore, nickel and tin.
In addition, Simon has developed and delivered industry recognised training to shotfirers and drill & blast engineers over the last 12 years of his career. More recently, a large part of his work has been blast optimisation and vibration management.
